During for many years, Indonesia has been known through the name of Bali Island. The fact has showed that Indonesia identical with Bali in tourism aspect. This 'Island of God' has presented precious contribution and being one of the greatest traveling place in this country. But now, might be the thought and assumption like that will be changed. Indonesia is not only Bali, so many beautiful places, magnificent arts and cultures also various culinary food tastes spread out from Sabang to Merauke. Unfortunately, the abroad and local tourists still didn’t know yet entirely those natural assets possessed by this archipelago country. Therefore, the government has been creating great tourism program called as ‘Visit Indonesia Year 2008’ since the beginning of this year.

Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Jero Wacik in his speech said that he needs all citizens give high contribution to success this program. He also need fully supporting from journalists and mass media to publish good, right, and positive information about Indonesia as the one of important promoting step. This program not only targeting the growth of yearly visitors but also as good effort to built back good image. After bad things have happened in this country, disaster and harmfully issues had been affecting to Indonesian tourism industry. People fell worry to visit and averse make their holiday plan here. This year is the time for government and all citizen recover this condition through actuate the program and having same vision and mission developing and getting back the people trust.

Effectively today, finally Indonesian government raise fuel price up to 30%. This condition connected to the government's planed since world petroleum price reach US$100/barrel (1brl = 117.35ltrs)and keep jump up to $120/barrel. Highest level touched $135 somedays ago. There was no others way for goverment to control it.

The raised price of petroleum also followed with the others aspect. That condition cause big effect to all commodities price evenmore for transportation media. Pro and contra came from every element of Indonesian citizen. Some accepted to this policy. Some think positive that this is might the best way to solve the problem but some didn't agree especially for the rables because they think that raising fuel price only make them more suffering. But we all hope this the best solution from our government for this country.
